Description
Used in treatments and rituals to rid the Berians of cognitive distortions. Its pulp is shaped like a coral choir of polyps, reaching for the mind's eye to console and cleanse it. The only way for lower-class Berians to obtain the fruit was to put their limbs at risk in gladiator-like games arranged to amuse the upper echelon. As smaller bits were handed to combatants as a restorative between battles, the Riverheart soon picked up the moniker ”blood fruit.”
